Thingam may be the cure for social media clutter

5/16/2014

My digital life is as messy as my desk. I've got multiple Facebook pages over here, Twitter feeds over there, Instagrams somewhere else. That's why I was intrigued to hear about Thingam.

Thingam is a new social media app that's scheduled to go public in July. The app that takes the best elements of popular services and brings them together in one place. Like Facebook, members can post videos, photos, and comments. Like Twitter, they can follow each other and can create trends with hashtags. Like Instagram, Thingam displays photos and videos, if they are made public. Everything is collected in a bucket called Social Stream.

Thingam also adds its own features. For example, it gives you quick access to photos and videos uploaded by Facebook friends to their own pages. And it offers a news feed that users can customize to pull articles from Google, CNN and other sources.

Thingam is still in development, but you can sign up now at its website and watch its progress on Facebook and Twitter.
