HostGator offers low-cost hosting with lots of extras

You didn't see HostGator advertising during this year's Super Bowl - and that's a good thing. While some better-known services spend their cash on advertising, HostGator appears to put its money into lower prices, customer service and free features.

HostGator is owned by Endurance International Group Holdings, a publicly-traded company that provides cloud-based platform solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

I browsed the packages offered on HostGator's website and found an impressive array of features and services. For example, HostGator offers unlimited disk space, bandwidth and email - items that typically cost extra at other hosting services.

HostGator also promises free shopping cart software, free forums and galleries, free site-building tools and more than 4,500 website templates. Perhaps most important, HostGator's tech support never closes. Higher-level service like virtual private servers and dedicated servers are also available.

Now, about the pricing. An affiliated website called HGCoupons posts several codes for discounts on HostGator packages. This one will get you 30% off and this one gets you rolling for 1 cent.
