PhotoTalk app makes pictures come to life

I'm sure you've chuckled at TV commercials that feature talking babies or animals and wondered how do they do that? While the ad agencies likely spent a bundle on their animations, you can get the same results for 99 cents.

That's what the clever people at I Am The Greatest Apps are charging for PhotoTalk, a new app that can put words in any mouth. PhotoTalk is an all-in-one app that will let you do amazing things to a still photo. It will create funny video animations, add an audio recording, text captions, speech bubbles or stickers.

PhotoTalk's editing options let you designate specific animation points, like the mouth, eyes and eyebrows. You can preview the animation and the audio before you finish and save.

I cropped a photo, added animation points, recorded a voice track and produced a cute Valentine animation featuring our talking dog, all in about 10 minutes. The process could not have been any easier.

The end result is an animation that you can save in your photo album, post on Facebook or send as an email attachment. You can also save a character to use over again in multiple animations.

In addition to delivering smiles and laughter, there's a bonus benefit to using PhotoTalk. The developers donate 5 percent of all sales to Charity: water, an organization that raises money for clean water projects around the world.
