APK Listing offers Android apps

6/24/2015

The Google Play store is the official source for Android apps, but it’s not the only place you con download Gmail or Candy Crush.

APK Listing is among a handful or websites that offer Android apps as APK files. They are the same apps found on Play and other Android libraries but they come without a built-in installer. Instead of downloading and installing on their own, they need are installed using a program like Android Injector that runs on a desktop computer.

CNet’s review of Android Injector said the program “fills the gap by allowing you to download apps on your computer and port them to your smartphone. It gives you access to third-party apps you won't find in the Play store without having to root your phone.”

APK Listing has only a few apps in its library. You can find Candy Crush Saga 1.4, Facebook Messenger, Kik and LINE plus a few others. The site appears to be still under construction. While the search option works, but there are no listings by genre (Action, Casino, Family etc.) and only some placeholder text in the About section.

You can take a look for yourself and get direct APK downloads at APK Listing.
