This Selfie goes video

7/07/2015

Any good police detective knows that a person’s body language can express more than their words. While voice can be saying “yes” while your face is saying “no.”

That’s why a new iOS app called Selfie may turn out to be a better form of communication than email, text messages or the photo selfie.

Like text messages, Selfie opens a conversation with people you know. But instead of short string of words, Selfie lets you exchange short videos.

When a Selfie message arrives, you tap it to make it come alive, then use the app to reply with a video Selfie of your own. You can slide between Selfies to watch a conversation unfold and explore entire conversations by zooming out.

Selfie is free to download in the iTunes App Store but you must be 13 years old or older to use it. You can get more information on the Selfie website and follow @selfietheapp on Twitter.
