Websites can now accept voice comments and reviews

9/15/2015

While I struggle to type a text message or enter a Google search phrase into my mobile phone, my daughter does the same thing faster and safer using just her voice. She's completely comfortable talking to her phone while I'm trying to catch up.

There’s no doubt that we will be talking to our machines sooner than we expected. Voice input technology keeps getting better and more widely used. Last week Apple said Siri will be built into the new version of Apple TV and this week a company called Heyoya launched technology that lets users post online comments and reviews using their voice.

The Heyoya Voice Comments Platform can be added to an existing website in about five minutes. Once installed, users can record their review or comment in their own words with a level of nuance and emphasis that can be hard to communicate in written words.

Users record their message, enter their name and the post title, then hit submit. Users are required to identify themselves through an email or Facebook login, a step that provides an added level of accountability and increases the value of the comment.

Users can share their reviews on social media networks and use the Heyoya system to record replies.

For more details, watch the video below and visit the Heyoya website where the company is offering a free trial.
