CheckIn is a new option in the dating scene

A new iPhone app called CheckIn adds a new twist to the digital dating game. The app uses the swipe metaphor to browse and find other users in the same location. A bar, for example, or a concert venue.

Once two people connect, they can use the app to view the other person’s status and begin a chat session. The app includes a status notice - Single, In-between or Taken - and a map showing locations that the user has visited.

The app is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store and additional details, including terms of service, are posted on the CheckIn website.
