Nabz program fights malware and adware

11/02/2015

The location of a computer user’s home country can sometimes prevent them from accessing popular streaming services like Netflix or Spotify. And when they go looking for a workaround, they might hit on something called DNS Unlocker, which says its custom servers can route the user around those roadblocks.

What’s not emphasized is DNS Unlocker will also deliver a blizzard of advertising. Then the unfortunate Windows users starts looking for something that will remove the unwelcome adware.

The people at Nabz Software say they feel your pain. The developer of PC Privacy Shield has a page on its website devoted to procedures to get rid of the DNS Unlocker malware and a free download that is designed to remove the offending code.

PC Privacy Shield works with Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. The software lets users run scheduled scans and it works with a library of spyware threats that is updated daily.

For more details, check out the Nabz Software website and the DNS Unlocker page.
