iCharge power bank offers style and power

i700x charger from iCharge
Portable battery chargers for mobile devices come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and I’ve tried a couple dozen of them looking for the perfect booster. Many were too heavy and bulky, the smaller chargers didn’t have enough juice to refuel my tablet computers, and solar chargers were too slow.

The i700x from iCharge looks like it might hit the bullseye. It comes in a slim white case that’s about the size of an iPhone or similar smartphone. Its power rating of 7000mAh puts it in a sweet spot for portable chargers: powerful enough to charge a late-generation iPad but not so big that you want leave it at home.

iCharge says its mobile power banks feature SmartIQ chipsets which will deliver power at the fastest rate for your device and execute an automatic shut-off.

The charger has a full-sized USB outputs that will work with Apple’s Lightning cable and conventional mini USB charging cables used by most Android devices. A blue ring in one corner of the charger lets you attach a carabiner clip and it lights up to show you how much internal power is left.

The iCharge i700x is available for $19.95 on Amazon. An alternative charger with similar features is the Anker PowerCore 20100 reviewed at PowerBank Expert.
