New app tracks employee attendance

6/04/2016

With portable computers, mobile phones and easy access to the Internet, an employee can work almost anywhere. But when employees work at different locations, times and time zones, it can be difficult for managers to keep track of their working hours.

A new app called Regular.li lets use their smartphones to check in and check out.

For employees, the app displays a big “In” button that they can click when they're on the clock or when they arrive at a designated work site. They can also add a selfie if necessary.

Managers can see who has checked in at any time and view statistics that show which employees were working at a particular time and how many logged in on time. If employees are required to be in a specific location, managers can set a GPS fence for for that location. The app will also work with a WiFi SSID system or with a commercial fingerprint scanner.

For more details, check out the Regular.li website and the apps in the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.
