The Italian company 22HBG has developed a pair of new boxes called Stream to quickly and easily encode and decode all of your digital audio. The Stream decoder will play custom content based on predefined channels from a selected audio content provider.
An internal web server allows users to set up and manage streaming parameters, I/O configurations, network parameters and audio settings. The device can be used in a retail setting or other environment where music or verbal announcements are played.
If the network-based source goes offline, the device has a fallback system that will launch a favorite playlist from internal storage or from a removable USB device.
The Stream decoder and encoder cost less than $300 each. For more details, check the 22HBG website.
